Hello CCC folks !

Well, my JAVA SECOND LEAGUE 2014 is ready. Below you can see the hierarchy of the best 30 chess engines written in Java. All work perfectly, being able to support a tournament !
Pulse project participed with two versions : 1.2.0 and 1.3.0.

The above Java engines are only a part of the army ! They are also 21 other chess engines written in Java:

a.- 5 private:
-Timea
-Nimrod
-Grok
-FIBChess
-Chompster

b.-3 free Java chess engines being able to support a tournament, but being extremely weak:
-DeepDuke 1.1
-Pyotr 2.6 Novice
-POS 1.20

c.-13 free engines which are not able to support a tournament at the date ( because of various reasons: a bad time management, illegal moves, play only at one colour, crashes, incompletes & so on):
-CalculonX 0.1
-Chesster rev.5
-Luzhin 0.1
-DokChess 0.1 rev.50
-WSpeirs Chess 001
-ChessNovice R 0.03
-Cheoss 0.649
-AnimatsChess r.23
-Tursas 0.2
-GNUChess4j 5.07
-Black&Right
-KennyClassIQ 0.3.0.0
-Lrozenblyum

With a total of 51 chess engines (plus a lot of GUIs and applets) - Java becomes the second programming language in chess ( after the C family) at the date. Delphi-Pascal is now only the third !

Well, this is the absolutely unimportant contribution of Mr.Ruxy in testing my beloved Java chess engines !

Have - you all - a superb day & night !

Interesting.

Nice to see Cupcake win one... though it depends on the level of the competition.

It would be nice to see a java and a ruby rating list. I would like to see how Chesskell performs. I am not knowledgable on running some of these ruby type programs without the executable.

Hey man !

A.- THANK YOU !

Interesting is also the fact that six engines of this my tournament were never tested by CCRL, CEGT, IPON (or in Mr.Martin Thorensen nuclear tests  ) !
They are:

-Javalin 1.4.1/USA
-Cave Chess 0.3/Belgium
-Frittle 1.0/India
-Tiffanys 0.5/Switzerland
-Gladiator 0.0.1/Spain
-DeepBrutePos 2.1/The Netherlands

B.- Cupkake is a nice engine ! Was over Frank-Walter (in JAVA SECOND LEAGUE 2014) - mainly - because of the time control. I used 5'/40 moves (with repetition) instead of 4'+2" like was in JAVA GRAND FINAL 2014. That was because two engines ( Javalin and Tiffanys) don't support a such TC.

C.-EXOTIC LEAGUE 2014 coming soon (chess engines programmed in Python, ADA, Ruby, Haskell, O'Caml and Erlang). At least three of these chess engines aren't known by nobody here !

THANK YOU , again !

Have a nice weekend !
