Very interesting tournament, as usual, Clemens! :D

One problem I've noticed is with the adjudications. Several games have been adjudicated as draws under 15 moves, due to 0.00 evaluations -- even with no repetitions. Could this be a GUI bug?

[Also, I saw that Chiron lost a won game on time to Hiarcs - that's a bummer :( ]

CL

yes, I noticed the same. But I accept it as is is. Book has only 6 moves maximum. If engines think its draw, I accept it as "grandmaster draw".
Chiron lost 1 game on time, I accept it too. No mood to replay such games. Its a tournament, no ratinglist play. And it happens rarely. From 182 games, 10 games with draw < 20 moves, and one time loss.

And it isn't even a BYO or a MZ compile, just the regular one! Fire is doing a little bit better than expected (would've liked to see Mars here). The one that's doing much better is Hannibal. Maybe the new version at TCEC isn't an improvement, after all.

Mars is highly optimized Intel PGO compiled Fire 2.2 (which was released 3/2011 open source GPL).
After almost a year and dozens of releases, it's finally reached the level of Fire 3.0 at ultra-fast TCs

http://spcc.beepworld.de/experiments.htm

why any tournament director would want to use it in place of Fire 3.0 is beyond me...

To see how it does at longer TC, because it uses TripleBases, just off the top of my head.
