I registered for those (apart from Chu) as well, but I didn't receive any sort of confirmation that my registration came through. Do I need to bug someone about that, or is it normal?
This seems to be normal. The first confirmation I got was that they mailed around an xlsx document with all registrations so far. I received that yesterday morning. And it was still in a very rough state; for instance, Shogi(5x5), MiniShogi and MiniShogi (5x5) were listed as 3 different games, each with one participant.
In the document, there were 2 Xiangqi, 1 Shogi, 1 Chu, 1 Tori and 3 mini-Shogi participants (including me). Andrew Lin (registered for many other games) has confirmed to me in an e-mail he will also do Tori, (but not Chu). Adding you that would make
3 Xiangqi
2 Shogi
3 Tori
4 mini-Shogi
The third Xiangqi entry is a French program I never heard of ('Homer'). There were no Chinese participants for Xiangqi yet, and no Japanese participants for Shogi. One of the mini-Shogi programs (EVG) is from Taiwan, no Japanese participants there either.

I've been looking all over the ICGA website but I can't find anything except a schedule.
I will go to Leiden one day to visit the Olympiad and to meet some people from the past.
Although I still have working 10x10 draughts, Othello and chess programs that I wrote in the past I'm not thinking about participating.
Too much of a hassle.

Maybe they should ask visitors if they are willing to be a stand-in operator for a time slice. Or give them a fee for it's less fun if it is not a chess program of your own.
Or form a group. Perhaps it's doable two operate three programs with two persons.
You could also hire Kasparov to be the operator of your chess program.
Lol.. If I hadn't seen Graham's thread above, I would think this casual exchange is an honest "see you there programmer". To someone probably really interested in meeting other programers (like Steve for instance), most likely chess/draguhts discussion is not the agenda! I am thingking the international chewing gum association is calling on an urgent meeting to discuss on the recent revelation from FIDE. Why would Fabian's interest in draguhts suddenly surface ?
Always good to hear that others use(d) the program.
What a few people know is that the name is based on 2 words, Dam and age, as I already starting thinking about Draughts programming in the 70ties.
Initially on a Digital PDP11.
And many years later (so 2015), I can use for this tournament a system based on the Intel 8-core processor, 64 GByte RAM and 1 TeraByte SSD.
With the watercooling I hope to reach 4 Ghz.
Unbelievable when you think about the progress made in all these years.
