Finding Rd5 or Rd8 is easy for strong engines. However, resolving to mate is more difficult.

In real game play, I am sure that all of the strong engines will actually find the mate, since a few forward plies makes it much easier.

Some missing ablities to find mate seems to be a wrong feature or bug, though. And in the future maybe I will take a look at this too.
But static evoluations don't maches to mate questions. The same happens in pawn endgames. But here the problem was easy to solve. Engines disabling nul move search for pawn endgmes.

Sometimes such a mechanical solution (disabling of null move reduction) can give a good result but in lots positions it is a waste of time only.
I was looking trough Stockfish 6 code and I think it is only idea, unfortunately.
