Zeus not moving

Hi Gabor,

I have the same problem with windows 8.1 (with Arena 3.5). As far as I remember, it runs perfectly with Windows 7 on my other computer with Arena 3.5.

Have you tried to use Wb2UCI ? Which GUI are you using ?

Zeus 1.29 works fine under Arena 3.5 ans Windows 8.1 with Wb2UCI with this configuration :

[ENGINE]
Name=Zeus 1.29
Author=Vadim Bykov
Filename=Wb2Uci.exe

[OPTIONS]
Program=zeus.exe


Don't forget to check to install it as UCI engine now under Arena and to change the parameters you want by also clicking on CTRL and 1 if Zeus is loaded as 1st engine or CTRL and 2 if it's loaded as 2nd engine.

I just ran some games, it was ok.

From looking at Zeus 1.29 in a text editor, it appears that Zeus was compiled with an older version of Visual Studio (2005 or before). Perhaps you need to install one of these older versions to make Zeus run properly. Provided that it is compatible with Windows 8.1.
