It was time to upgrade anyway ( F12) , and I wanted to try the Friend Mode ..... Overall , I like it ...... I win about 50% of my games , so it does a good job of that . Nice not to get hassled about the time , and even enjoy some of the comments , though some overused ...... It would be nice to see that area greatly expanded , with meaningful comments..... a couple small glitches : I seem to lose games from time to time . I went from 95 total to 74 total , after restarting the next day , and there have been others ...... Also the Elo rating can jump around sometimes upon restarting...... One time I had a nice win , and my rating jumped 200 pts ( after 70+ games ) , only to have it drop back down after the next game.........
None of this bothers me too much ,I would buy it again ..... I really like being able to have 2 instances of F15 running at the same time , and excited to see Vas back in the game , and look forward to watching his progress .....
Also interested in opinions on ratings .? Of course with no clocks , and everything else , but wonder if it's ballpark ??
Thanks ,
Tom Glenn

This should be posted in the CCC forum, not the CPForum. Vas and Rybka are a fraud. The software was plagiarised from several programs and no one should buy it and Chessbase should not be selling it!WuShock wrote:It was time to upgrade anyway ( F12) , and I wanted to try the Friend Mode ..... Do not worry about nasty comments about Vas and the program.
You tempted me to get the F15 thing.

Sorry to say that I have not really tested it yet. I've been using it to play chess online at Playchess and to help me analyze my games mainly. At some point, I plan to hook up my DGT Chessboard and play some games using Friend mode with Delfi Trainer or Rebel.

The Friend Mode seems to automatically promote to a Queen ..... Sometimes that isn't a good idea....... I lucked into a pretty finish , only to see it turn in to a stalemate .......

Yes, it was promotion to knight, mate, BUT remember he was playing in friend mood....whatever that means...

That opinion is not shared by everybody, including some well-respected programmers.Sean Evans wrote:......Vas and Rybka are a fraud. The software was plagiarised from several programs and no one should buy it and Chessbase should not be selling it!
