freeware tool for monitoring websites

Post by Norbert Raimund Leisner »

Hello,

do you know a reliable freeware tool for monitoring websites?

I am using Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

On CCWiki some websites disappeared suddenly and can be made visible with Wayback Archive, but not all of their previous contents, especially download links are o.k.

Best wishes,
Norbert

I don't know what exactly you mean by monitoring?

Here is a good, but not anymore updated, freeware link checker:
http://home.snafu.de/tilman/xenulink.html

This one is for local copies /mirroring of websites, also freeware and GPL:
https://www.httrack.com/

(I had used both programs in the past and they did their job good enough to stay in my memory)
