There is "path(.ini)" in that TLCV folder. Edit the file by replacing "" with your TLCS folder (D:\Server\) or is it (C:\Server\) ?
Folder Server is located on your desktop.
Delete it from desktop, and install in D:\Server\
My engine was quite strong till I added knowledge to it.

Did you do what Dan said ?

Code: Select all

TOURNEYPGN = this is the output pgn file from ChessGUI so people can look at the current standings. This pgn is updated after each game is completed, so during the first game it won't exist. The name of the file is based on the tournament you create in ChessGUI. It always ends in _e1e_Pgn.pgn (I'll get back to this later).

You can leave all of the other stuff at defaults.

In ChessGUI, there are 2 things you must do to make everything work with the server software.

Under miscellaneous > preferences, go to the "GUI 2" tab. Check the TLCV box. This will create a TLCV file in the chessgui output folder which the server reads from.

When you're creating an engine tournament, under "options 2", the Name of the Tournament defines the pgn file that is output. So if you name your tournament "MyTournament" the output file will be "MyTournament_e1e_Pgn.pgn" This is what you'd put in the TOURNEYPGN options in the server.ini file. I recommend you not use spaces in the name, but underscores.
and what I said ?

Code: Select all

Start the tournament, start TLCS server, start TLCV viewer and connect it in "local mode". Can you see the game running in TLCV ?

Setup a different tournament with different name and try to connect to it in "local mode" again.

Thank you very much Matthias. I have such a question, because I do not know what to do here. I noticed that as the program begins to play always the first batch is missing the beginning of the recording party. So it looks record batch - please see the lack of the beginning of the party. Also missing time option - TimeControl.

Are you using an EPD file? That won't work with broadcasting. You have to use a pgn that contains the opening moves you want. Also you must remove all annotations from the game.

One more important question. How to check if everything is working properly in other people watching the game.

Of course, the matter is resolved. Program Tom's Live Chess Viewer shows the movements since the connection to the program.
