He does not know what console is and he tried it in all GUIs!
First my hint must be ruled out before anything else.

On my Windows 10 i7 it was no Problem under arena.
What seems like a fairy tale today may be reality tomorrow.
Here we have a fairy tale of the day after tomorrow....

Well, Gunther; I know what a console is and I tried it
Just it appeared the representation of the board and anything else.
Even I tried to play a move just in case. same result.

And if you continue considering me kind of a dumb, I will put here for you to solve a Tensor calculus problem which I solved in 3 minutes for fun. Let's see how you manage it...
it could happens not to be a comp geek and still know something. :-)
