Hi Michael,

please could you tell me more about "Fruit 2016" 's development ?

What are the changes compared to Fruit 2.1 reloaded ?

Any improvements in any areas ?

Thanks for your answers,

Greetings,

Jamal

Geez - I forgot about that little project - will have to take another look - thanks for reminding me. Fabian is one of my favorite chess authors - he was part of next generation that led to huge advancements. He's right up there with the best for his contributions. Many of the modern developments can either be directly or indirectly to his work in Fruit and got people to look at things differently. When you look at the great chess programmers of the past , the biggest impact on chess development were the authors that shares their ideas and even more important - shared their source. Bob, Fabian , Tord , Jon , the current stockfish team and many others. They actually contribute much more than those who wrote good programs for the day - but kept all their secrets to themselves. Back in 1995 I had access to Bob's source ( as did every else ) and that was it.
