Wow, Adam, you're really giving it to poor Houdini !
Hope you and ol' Houdart don't bump into each other in a dark alley !

AsmFish is definitely the fastest SF compile, but unfortunately the updates are few and far between....

Haha nah man, not exactly. I'm saying something that makes sense. If Komodo 10.1 is getting pounded like this then Houdini doesn't have a chance in the world. Of course we will let the games do the talking. But Komodo 10.1 should be about 125 to 150 Elo over Houdini 4. I have nothing against Houdart; I'm just looking forward to one of the most lopsided superfinals in TCEC history. We will be looking at maybe two losses for Stockfish in the superfinal.

AsmFish is up to date. I think that he is merely one patch behind publicly. Mohammed was busy implementing NUMA into Stockfish development. It failed. Expect updates on a frequent basis.

It's Houdini dev to the final, not Houdini 4.

So what? My point is that even if Houdini somehow gained 125 in Elo (which I strongly doubt for a one-man project who was averaging 50 Elo annually) over Houdini 4 it still wouldn't even be close to enough. This type of dominance over an engine (K 10.1) that is well over 100 Elo stronger than Houdart's last public release gives us a very clear indication of what will happen in the superfinal. It's going to be utterly hilarious and humiliating watching Houdini development struggle for maybe two wins in the entire final.

Current TCEC Rapid says otherwise:

Caveats:
Sample size is small
Programs sometimes perform differently at different time controls (e.g. Komodo seems to do better at long time control than at blitz, IIRC).

Stockfish cant catch up 2 months old Houdini dev in TCEC rapid. Recently Houdart said that another updated Houdini dev is +25 elo than that old Houdini dev playing in TCEC.

Houdini won against Komodo twice in stage 3. Finished one full point ahead. So the elo jump is probably very high in fact and I doubt it is because of contempt.

I doubt Houdini will win only 2 games in the superfinal against Stockfish and I will be happy when I will see that.

R. Houdart said H dev is playing with contempt 0 in both stage 3 and rapid!
