Hi Jose,

so my Rating list will be ended definitiv with Andscacs.
Your version will be the last one for my FCP Rating List.

I think this one is very nice because in the last three years your engine made the biggest jumpings.

So I have the grand finale!
Appropriate ... and from my view the biggest compliment for the work an engine programmer do I can give!

Thanks and Best
Frank

PS: Of course with my suggestion and Contempt = 10.
Thanks for the Contempt parameter.

Hmm

I have 2600 games, Ponder ON, 4 pc SYZYGY

3 crashes in total - without knowing which engine caused the problem, that is a normal, maybe even a little low, rate.

1 time loss - in favor FOR Andscacs (No time loss for Andscacs).

To me that looks perfectly fine. Even the rating sems to be within expectations.
Nonetheless I will finish this run and then substitute the engine with you latest release.

It's not necessary that you play again the games, the strength should be the same.

If the engine that crashed is Andscacs, you can see because it leaves a .dmp file.

Can you send me the games when the match finishes?

Thanks!!

Now, with nearly 3000 games, I do not have a single dmp file and therefore nothing to send.

P-ON with 4pc SZYZ runs perfectly fine!

Do you still pursue the plan of making a Linux binary? It would be a great addition to my Linux chess tournaments.

Edit: I think the TBD engine in Ingo's test might very well be the new Shredder. At least the score corresponds to the one from Clemens tournaments earlier this year
After the release I am allowed to tell now, TDB is indeed Shredder 13 ... !

Here the detailed changes that where not explained before:

* Killer 2 can be reduced by one.

* Increased depht of eval pruning-parent node.

* In quiescence, allow captures that does not recover material when they are check.

* Try to be sure that there is a move to ponder.

* Undone some changes of previous versions that where verified with more games.
