People will have to stay in the shelters a bit longer I think, as the speed with which the hurricane is moving is slowing. From the animation on Windy.com, Key West seems to get hit with the center around 16.00 my time (UTC +1), that would be some ten hours from now I think, that is 10 AM Eastern Time (UTC -5).
This is probably a bit late, but still sensible advice in one image:
I got that from Forbes.com

Also an interesting story on Forbes that the sealevel rise in Florida has been around six times global average, (technically this, it seems to me, is local climate change but they argue it is therefore not global warming) and, more importantly Floridians and many coastal communities all over the world, still they continue building in places where the risk of flooding and coastal erosion is increasing every year.

Very off topic here, but also a story there on Threadripper, that it was really a pet project from some engineers and they worked on it in their spare time. Later the executive top from AMD concluded it was actually one of the most sound business plans they had seen.
