Dumb is a stripped version of Amoeba with just a basic evaluation function and basic search algorithms. However I hope it is mostly bug free & pretty well optimized (although it does not use magic bitboards). I guess its strength should be around 2200 on the CCRL scale.
Its purpose is to be a benchmark for weak engines. IMHO, an engine *much* weaker than Dumb is either buggy or poorly implemented.
