I only purchased iPhone because of its chess capabilities. But there are no good updated programs out for it that utilizes its full potential .

100% agree with this. The iPhone is virgin territory waiting to be conquered for chess advancement.

Blame Apple. They do not allow one program to launch another. The only way under Apple is to provide an integrated GUI and chess engine. Which would require the Komodo team to write a GUI as well, unless someone else will give them permission to use theirs. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Using droidfish on android or on iOS Stockfish , or on other operation systems a similar version of Stockfish,
With all cores on.
Measure after 2 minutes . NPS That is shown after 2 minutes.

64 bit operation systems shall use 64 bit engines.
Beginning position in analysis mode.
Wait 2 minutes until you measure.
Make hardcopy of screen as evidence.

Do not change hash size etc.
Only amount of cores as high as possible on that machine.

Delete all apps running in the background before you measure. Use a cool hardware because heat throttles it down.

I have a benchmark of a new mobile phone, it is the razer phone. A big
Chocolate like phone made out of an aluminum block, 6” 2K screen, big Stereo loudspeakers with Dolby Atmos and the Snapdragon 835. Like the Nokia 8 it has metal backside AND effective copper heat pipe.
Another feature is that you can set the frame rate of the display up to 120 hz.
So the phone is really a gamer phone, and isn’t chess a game )

The battery is also huge 4000 mAh. It has a huge ram of 8 GB size !!

The good cooling is the secret for a high benchmark of 4334 kNPS.
The loudspeakers are so amazing that it blows away your head.


The big screen is very good to watch movies and chess games. The Stereo loudspeakers can (with Dolby atmos) create a 3D sound !!

Apple admit that older iPhones are deliberately slowed down, even a relatively new IPhone 6s will be slowed down with new software update. This news has left me with a slow 6s and explains why my 6s does not reach the nodes/s that is in the list.
