Testrun of Stockfish 180113 finished.

Long thinking-time tournament updated. All 3 engines playing with Contempt=+20 centipawns. After 624 played games, Stockfish 180102 (ultimaiq bmi2-compile) is +62 Elo stronger than Houdini 6 and +85 Elo (!) stronger than Komodo 11.2.2. We have to call this a disaster for both commercial competitors of (free) Stockfish.

The main reason is, of course, that my SALC V5 openingbook is used in my long thinking-time tournament...
And Contempt=+20 for all engines helps, too...

Yeap, contempt helped Stockfish a lot lately and some good patches as well. I can't wait to see Stockfish 9 on rating list, this time he will last on it for long !

its not the end of commercial engines,thanks to stockfish ideas and open code
will continue to help other engines.

HIARCS is still being sold, so I guess commercial engines will never end, not even if they created a Contempt setting that made Stockfish play 340 elo stronger than the next strongest commercial engine.
