Can Komodo 13. for Android beat Shredder 8 on a P.C ?

Now that's even weirder.

Some of the moves are again quickly identified by K13 AB on my phone as giant mistakes.

The depth output makes it look like the engine was being randomly switched between K13 MCTS, K13 non-MCTS, and the built-in Java engine (most of the depth outputs look like what K13 MCTS would show, but others look like K13 AB, and many others again look like the built-in Java engine).

I'll step through the game to see if the bad moves match K13 MCTS or built-in Java choices at the reported depths.

In the meantime, I'd definitely make sure you look at the "Use MCTS" option when you import K13 into Chess for Android.

Also, was this game played all at once, or in multiple sessions? The only way I can imagine the engine changing at different points was if the game was played in multiple sessions and different engines were loaded at different times.

It seems almost certain that you were switching engines throughout the game, then, for some reason. Again, I'd guess most likely you did this in multiple sessions and/or were closing and re-opening the Chess for Android app at some moments.

Yes, I realized that after I enter the move 7. Bb2 Komodo Froze and 3 minutes later it resigned, so I knew that something has to be wrong with my settings causing Komodo 13 to crash,but I decided to retireve the move 7. Bb2 and reenter it again and Komodo continued playing, but I need NOT realized that Komodo 13 switched back from MCTS to regular Komodo or to the JAVA by retieving and entering this move 7. Bb2, and it happened twice more where I had to retrieve and re-enter Sherdder8 last move in order for Komodo to continue. Yhere has to be something wrong with my setting probably too much hash

Somebody email me the best settings for Koodo 13 for my Samsung Galaxy S8+, and also told me to re install my Komodo 13 on my android.
Well finally I replay the game from, where Komodo Crashed 7. Bb2 and Komodo played so well that it did NOT give Shredder 8 a change to use the Bishop from b2 and it was beating Shredder 8 by a pawn when Komodo told me that my time waas out for White which is Shredder 8 since I have to manually input every moves so I stopped the game and Komodo won on time and also was destroying shredder 8. Actually move 1.... a5 is move 7...a5 Since I had to set up the game from where Komodo13 Crashed last game

How comfortable do you feel and what are your chances of beating Komodo 10.4 on your android with Knight odds and either the d2 or e2 pawn removed from Komodo 10.4 . You will be playing with all your chess pieces and Black side of the board. To set up pieces simply touch your screen on the upper right hand side of your android and select setup position. We already know from all of our handicap matches that even on a 32 core Threadripper Komodo at knight odds is about even with 2300 FIDE level players, and that's with high Contempt set. He is 2257 FIDE, not far below 2300, so he should easily crush Komodo on Android at knight odds, never mind knight plus pawn. It would be interesting to have him play against current Komodo on a reasonably good PC at knight odds (b1 or g1 doesn't much matter) with Contempt at 150.

I did a similar test. Komodo 10.4 Android running on a i5 Google Pixel Slate in the AcidApe interface. Spike 1.4 Runnning on my Laptop i7-8550U in the Shredder GUI. I was going to use Komodo 9 but went with 10 instead. Figured 13 would win anyway.



I got in touch with my old long time friend Mauricio, Ruiz from Rhode Island and asked him if he has the time to play a Knight odds plus the d4 pawn removed and he immediately asked what is the rating of the Android chess program and I roughly estimated that it could be around in between 2900 to 3100 based on computer vs computer or other android chess engines , but with the Knight removed plus the d4 pawn that he can have a good chance of winning he asked me if there was at least $30.00 which is what he charge his students in Rhode Island per hour and I agree to sen him the Money. We were on on the phone making moves for about 58 minutes including setting up his pieces and him using his time clock, but I told him that Komodo on my GUI would keep track of the time. Later on he told me that he has been playing against computer for almost 18 years since Chessmaster 3000 which he used to beat with the Knight odds very easy on an Athlon 256 1200 that he had back in 2003. His strategy according to him is to exchange as many pawns and pieces as he can from the very start and since he is up in material that program would have a hard time beating him.

OK, Komodo 13.3 sent to you. For knight odds, set Contempt to 150. Regarding time limit, it's probably better to stick with 15' + 10" as that is what we're using in all these matches and it's the standard FIDE rapid time limit. If there's time for two games, one with b1 and one with g1 knight off would be ideal. Regarding Hasbun, he's too strong for knight odds at this time control, you could try knight odds with Black forfeiting castling rights as we plan with Lenderman. I would remove g1 knight for this case. What is your hardware?

Jorge Sammour Hasbun has agreed to play two games at 15' + 10" one game with Knight odds with one Black pawn removed of my choice he told me NOT to let him know in advanced either b5, c7, d7, or e7. The Other game will be one of the Knight removed and Black forfeiting the right to castle, he also agreed not to know which Knight I will remove. For being his friend he is only charging $50 for a win and $25 for a Draw, I do NOT mind paying for it out of my pocket, but I will only send or email this game to Larry I will not make it public until you play against Lenderman.
