I just lost my first $50.00, and I noticed that the time of 15' + 10" is too much for a strong player like Jorge, all that he had to do was to start with an opening that forced the trade of a pawn and later on continue trading such as when position his Bishop 9.....Bg4 to trade the Knight on f3 or either the Bishop if the knight was moved to a different location, His plan was to trade knowing that he was up in material. Anyway we talked about having tomorrow game played at 10' + 5" and he agreed as well. He told me laughing that he is used to play Blitz and even Bullet games and that is sufficient time for him with such initial advantage. At least I hope for a Draw tomorrow. Also my system is a little bit too weak for Jorge , I should had rented a system like Larry. I hope that Jorge accept to play Chess 960 with one of those position where the King and Rook are in their original place tomorrow, so I do NOT have to pay Jorge Sammour another $50.00

Bad news: It is clear from the posted evals that you were using the default Contempt of 16 rather than the suggest 150, which is the reason Komodo voluntarily traded queens with 12.Qb3? I don't know what you did wrong but somehow your setting of Contempt didn't take and it played with default. With normal contempt Komodo can't spot pieces to masters. The way you can tell if you set it correctly is to duplicate the above handicap, have it start to think, and if you have Contempt set correctly to 150 the score after 1.e4 should be about -1.10 or so, nowhere near -2. Now he may think it will be easy, but if you set Contempt correctly he may be in for a surprise. Judging by this game, I doubt that he would have won if it were set properly.
Yes, because nobody here posted how to change the contempt to 150, I asked and nobody knew under the Arena GUI or Shredder GUI, so I decided to play with the default contempt

I just figured out how to change the Engine Parameters under Shredder GUI and set the contempt to 150 the only thing that I am NOT sure is how many Threads my computer can be set to right now it is set to 1. Well with the contempt set now to 150 Jorge Sammour will have a tough time trying to trade his pieces down.

1st Click on Engine
2nd change Main Engine
3rd Engine Parameters

Jorge Sammour took too much time trying to figure out how to play this chess960 position in which I decided to switch the Knight and Bishop but removed the Bishop instead of the knight since I figured out that it was going to be easier for Komodo 13 to castle and keep Jorge Sammour worry about being attack early during the game. Anyway he was running out of time and offer a draw which I accepted for Komodo, becauce I know what Jorge is capable of I seeing lot of bullet games that he played on youtube, so for me it is better to pay $25.00 for a draw then paying another $50.00.I will post the game later since I have to go with my wife to the Clinic Now.
Set Threads to the number of cores on your computer, do a google search on the model name if you can't figure out the number of cores. Removing a bishop is a larger handicap than removing a knight, because it breaks the bishop pair. It also leads to a less normal chess game as color complex becomes an immediate issue. In the games with Lenderman we give a full knight handicap in the 960 games, not knight for pawn. As for taking a draw, if the engine eval was still positive or zero and the game wasn't an obvious draw you should keep playing; no human can play bullet chess like an engine. You'll almost never lose an engine game to a human from a non-negative eval position, unless Contempt is set way too high for that human (150 is not too high for a GM in rapid play).

Someone removed a [/quote] tag leading to all answers also being put as quotes.

As for bishop handicap, it's a bigger handicap at long thinking time, but knights are much trickier pieces at a short time control, especially when an engine is using them But maybe the crossover point where the bishop handicap becomes smaller than the knight handicap is one where the odds giver already wins most of the games.

Also I removed the bishop to give Komodo a quicker castle chance against Jorge Sammour by simply moving its Knight and castle if it saw itself in danger. Jorge only had a few seconds left when he offered the draw, I should had used Komodo MCTS but I decided not to, with 30 seconds more Jorge would had taken Komodo 13 to fly a Kite. I believe that 15'+10" would give GM Lenderman way too much time. It is only my opinion.

Was this game 15 + 10 or 10 + 5? What was final position Komodo eval shown? Regarding bishop handicap, with GM level players bishop pair is a clear advantage even in blitz, maybe only in bullet would it make sense to remove a bishop, but then the computer would win in either case.

My main question is since GM Lenderman is about 100+ rating over Jorge Sammour is the difference in speed of your 32 cores will give Komodo 13 another 150 rating points than using my computer?

Well, yes Komodo will gain at least another 150 elo, probably more, but it's not that simple, because if both sides play 150 elo stronger then the odds-receiver should score more, since reducing the error rate for both players will obviously favor the one getting the handicap. So if Komodo and Sammour are really equal on your computer under the Lenderman conditions, then we might be in trouble. But we don't know that, as your first game was played with Contempt 16, and the second with bishop for pawn handicap. When you say he "analyzed" another continuation after the game, do you really mean he "played another game against Komodo from move 7". I mean if he analyzed it with Komodo on both sides surely Black would have won, and also the same if he analyzed it for both sides without Komodo.
If you can tell me the nodes per second Komodo gets in the initial position (normal chess, no handicap) on your computer with Threads set to whatever you used during this game, I can give you a much more accurate answer to how many elo stronger it will play on the Threadripper.
