Percona is a MySQL clone. It is not called MySQL-P.
MariaDB is a MySQL clone. It is not called MySQL-M.
Ubuntu is a Fedora clone. It is not called Fedora-U.
Centos is a Fedora clone. It is not called Fedora-C.
EnterpriseDB is a PostgreSQL clone. It is not called PostgreSQL-E. (OK, a different license)

You do not have to name your clone with the old name. In fact, it is rarely done that way.
Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Re Ubuntu, you are probably thinking of Debian, and for CentOS, upstream RH? In any case, none of the authors of those projects claimed originality nor did they go so far as to say that their projects started from scratch. The differences between these distros is also hundreds of thousands of lines of code, if not millions, not 6 :D Apples to oranges.

The Ubuntu distribution represents the best of what the world’s software community has shared with the world... Ubuntu was the first operating system to commit to scheduled releases on a predictable cadence, every six months, starting in October 2004... The Ubuntu desktop is by far the world’s most widely used Linux workstation platform, powering the work of engineers across the globe. Ubuntu Core sets the standard for tiny, transactional operating systems for highly secure connected devices. Ubuntu Server is the reference operating system for the OpenStack project, and a hugely popular guest OS on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. Ubuntu is pre-installed on computers from Dell, HP, Asus, Lenovo and other global vendors.
Sound original. The first operating system? Wait, isn’t it a flavor of Linux? The dirty rats!!
Fat Titz by Stockfish, the engine with the bodaciously big net. Remember: size matters. If you want to learn more about this engine just google for "Fat Titz".

Are you taking the sentence out of context intentionally or is English not your first language? In any case, you are comparing code changes on the order of hundreds of thousands, if not millions, to changes in 6 lines of code. Still apples and oranges. Try again.

Taking marketing literature out of context? Guilty as charged. Now it’s your turn. :D

Albert Stein :D

"Get fishtest ready!"

A few of the subtitles presented way too fast but otherwise, A+, would watch again.

In all seriousness, I am surprised as to the strength of FF2. In my testing it appears equal to SF 210211, assuming their testing was fair. They are about as far ahead of SF12 as is SF-dev, with an (supposedly) original net.

It has come to my attention through PM that the user this is directed at (AS) is, or may be, Jewish. Given the nature of the Downfall video, and innuendos, I ask that links be removed. Please also remove the quoted text in this post, while keeping this post alive. Let's get back to the topic at hand.

As Dkappe contacted me I'd like to note that the above is making fun of SF fans/devs and is meant as parody in the long line of such Downfall parody videos and the rich and important tradition of comedy making fun of Hitler like Mel Brooks in the Producers.

Brooks once explained his view of Hitler: “I was never crazy about Hitler... If you stand on a soapbox and trade rhetoric with a dictator you never win... That’s what they do so well: They seduce people. But if you ridicule them, bring them down with laughter, they can’t win. You show how crazy they are.”

Brooks’s sentiments were reiterated by the director of Downfall, Oliver Hirschbiegel, who actually enjoyed the parodies and was not responsible for having them removed from YouTube. Hirschbiegel said, “The point of the film was to kick these terrible people off the throne that made them demons, making them real and their actions into reality. I think it’s only fair if now it’s taken as part of our history, and used for whatever purposes people like. If only I got royalties for it, then I’d be even happier.”

Cannot tell if you are sarcastically mocking Dkappe, or also of the delusion that pop culture references are personal attacks against identity groups.
