Or maybe you should read the installation instructions carefully. ClassicAra 0.9.3 uses the same environment as 0.9.0 so you should install the latter first then change the exe.
I tried it, and is still does NT work

Played two quick (5'3) games using Aquarium 2020 GUI with Chiron 4 via netChess by Bernhard Wallner.
netChess: https://web.archive.org/web/20121014223 ... Chess.html

In both games ClassicAra (GPU: RTX2070S) had black and played without an opening book, while Chiron had the use of it's internal opening book.

Result: 1 Win, 1 Lost

Analysis: Dragon by Komodo Chess 2

Re: ClassicAra Chess Engine..World Record Download!!

Post by Gabor Szots »

I am totally confused at the moment. In a 20-game 30s+0,2s match 0.9.3 using RISE 3.3 scored more than 70 % against 0.9.0 using RISE 2. So for a test gauntlet of 0.9.3 using RISE 3.3 I selected opponents accordingly. To my astonishment they are beating ClassicAra to a pulp. True, the time control here is 2+1 but does that really mean that much? I checked the settings several times, they are identical.
These were CPU games.

You can add ChessX to the list of GUIs that it works with.

ClassicAra 0.9.2 post 1 will qualify for League 2 and probably will be updated to ClassicAra 0.9.3 https://tcec-chess.com/

ClassicAra needs to utilize the TB better, it should have won this game  ==>

Is the newer ClassicAra 0.9.3 better than 0.9.2 post1 and if so by how many points? I noticed that TCEC has not updated it since it promoted to League 2, and most of other programmers already have updated their engines. The League 2 will start very soon.
