Can this whole thread not be moved to the engine origines forum ?!
I am really not interested in clones.

Please descend from your moral pedestals...connor_mcmonigle wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 10:58 pmI agree. It certainly contains discussion of illegal clones and should be moved to EO on those grounds.
I believe the source code for these engines is readily available. I was able to download it.
Despite your inflammatory rhetoric, they appear to be perfectly 'legal' derivatives...
If there is an illegal engine mentioned in the topic that violates GPL, either one of you can simply 'report' the post to the moderators, or mention it to Alex, and I'm sure it'll be removed.
Let's not be so close-minded and judgmental that even derivatives are unacceptable...
don't forget Stockfish started this exact same way.

I fail to see the inflammatory rhetoric in my post. Moral pedestal? If you read through this thread, you'll encounter several posts featuring illegal clones ("Raubfisch" to name one among many). The EO forum is intended for discussion of engines of dubious legality such as Raubfisch.Vernon Crawford wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 12:52 amPlease descend from your moral pedestals...connor_mcmonigle wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 10:58 pmI agree. In general, I don't have any problem with people forking engines provided the origins of the forked engine are clear, the license of the forked engine is respected, and the creator of the fork doesn't make misleading claims about the strength of the forked engine/their contribution. Crystal is an example of respectful Stockfish fork.

Links to download Raubfisch (without source code)?connor_mcmonigle wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 1:43 am I fail to see the inflammatory rhetoric in my post. Moral pedestal? Or simply the mention of it's name...
Is that enough enough for you to demand it's removal to EO.? LOL
Take a chill pill...

Re: New chess Engines clones and News 2021
Historically, all discussion of illegal clones has been moved to the EO board. There are links to what appear to be illegal clones in this thread as well, though that's not what prompted my initial post and is also not a necessary condition for removal to the EO board in my understanding. Therefore, from the perspective of consistent moderation, removal to EO would make sense.Vernon Crawford wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 2:06 amLinks to download Raubfisch (without source code)?connor_mcmonigle wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 1:43 am I fail to see the inflammatory rhetoric in my post. As far as I can tell you're the one getting worked up over this.

FYI, before this thread was created, AlexChess was spamming the New engine releases 2021 thread with illegal clones. This thread was created so AlexChess's spamming could be contained in a separate thread rather than interfering with Guenther's legitimate work.

Not kidding:
Fat Titz 1.1 210931 (derivated from Cfish + original HUGE NNUE compiled by Sopel) + Mustafa 13.4 book openings is MUCH stronger than Stockfish 14.1 (watch crosstable and analyse the games if you don't trust me) ...And also BrainLearn 14.2 by A.Manzo and Omar Khalid, SF-PB compiled by Chessman, Swordfish 14.4a and Blue Marlin 14.4. RedFish 180921 and BlueFish NN by Bookmaker are TOP engines (All 30 Top engines excluding Dragon 2.5.1 are on TOP 30! So my opinion is that derivatives really deserve my attention. If you don't test them deeply you cannot judge their strength
Best regards, Alex

I have opened this thread, I'm not closed here in a cage as a rare beast but boring-Guenter is still spamming my own topic. I add you right now to my ignore list, too since you add nothing interesting to this discussionMadeleine Birchfield wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 2:32 pm FYI, before this thread was created, AlexChess was spamming the New engine releases 2021 thread with illegal clones. Re: New chess Engines clones and News 2021
So I just tried Fat Titz, and after the 3rd game at the latest, he fell. It was an old computer with no bmi, maybe I used a stupid version, what do I know - SSE42, I can get a Rybka like that, but FT crashed. It's not that much better anyway.AlexChess wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 5:00 pm Not kidding:
