Thanks for testing Ed! I do feel Seer still performs a bit worse at cyclical TCs as compared to other engines so I'll be curious to see your results.Rebel wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 12:15 am Seer 2.4.0 for the GRL.

So far it looks Seer is heading for a top-10 place

90% of coding is debugging, the other 10% is writing bugs.

OK, I don't know what wget is but explicitly giving the nnue address from the readme I could download the appropriate net and compilation was successful.connor_mcmonigle wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 10:44 pmHello Gabor,Gabor Szots wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 10:36 pmHi Connor,connor_mcmonigle wrote: ↑Fri Dec 03, 2021 8:47 pm I've released a new version of Seer here: https://github.com/connormcmonigle/seer ... tag/v2.4.0. It should be substantially stronger than the previous release and adds support for Syzygy EGTB probing as well as pondering. More information can be found in the release description.
In the makefile the net file name is different from the latest net unless I have overlooked something.
The network hash in the makefile/network listed in the README is correct. It's also the most recent network as listed on the "seer-training" release page, though it's not listed as "latest" as I'm using the network hash as the release name which results in GitHub assuming an incorrect ordering. In general, the release page for the "seer-training" repo should be ignored.

Re: Seer 2.0.0
Great, I'm glad you were able to figure it out. I should probably update the README to improve the clarity. Needless to say, please be sure to compare NPS with the release binaries as Seer's performance is quite sensitive to the compiler/associated configuration.Gabor Szots wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 8:22 am ...

I have already done so. My compile is only slightly faster than the one you provided.connor_mcmonigle wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 9:14 amNeedless to say, please be sure to compare NPS with the release binaries as Seer's performance is quite sensitive to the compiler/associated configuration.
