Eureka, you probably found something that can increase Komodo Dragon 2.6 ratings on your PC if you can figure out what is causing the CPU to be occupied with other open applications working in the background. https://www.tech-wales.co.uk/what-progr ... -computer/

They found, they found, I've known about it for a long time. But when I'm running a tournament in ChessBase, I can occasionally open a page on that laptop if I really need to. If I do the same in a Shredder environment, the whole computer is completely rigid. I take it that the playing field is the same for everyone.
For example Rybka/Fritz 16, there the modification of the uci file brought some of the ten ELO.

KomodoChess has released Dragon 2.6 at komodochess.com. It is a significant upgrade from Dragon 2.5.1 (or 2.5). Estimated elo gains from 2.5.1 on one thread in blitz (2' + 1") using a normal opening book in standard mode are 18 elo (based on 20,000 direct games), in Monte Carlo mode 24 elo, and in standard mode playing Fischerandom (chess960) 26 elo (based on about 5500 direct games in those cases). Elo gains for similar tests against Dragon 2 showed +83 Elo for a normal opening book in standard mode, +113 elo in MCTS mode, and a remarkable +126 elo in FRC (standard mode). Compared to the final Komodo version before NNUE (Dragon), Komodo 14.1, the gains in direct matches were 300 elo in standard chess and 351 elo in FRC. Note that all gains in standard chess will be significantly larger with unbalanced opening books, but with normal books should be smaller with longer time controls or more threads. The elo gains from 2.5.1 are due to newer nets, small speedups, and some search improvements.
One new feature added this time is UCI Elo, which replaces the Skill levels. To activate it set UCI LimitStrength to true. There is no real difference between setting Elo to 1800 or setting Skill to 18 in older versions (for example), but the advantage is that you can use intermediate values like 1725 Elo for example. The strength of the Elo levels is not much different than the previous Skill levels except in or near the grandmaster range where they are stricter now. The intent is that the Elo ratings should be about fair against humans with similar FIDE ratings at Rapid (15' + 10") time control, although Dragon will move instantly with any Elo set in the human range. Elo levels should be used with just one thread; using more raises the strength by varying amounts, but there is no reason to do this. We would appreciate any feedback on the accuracy of the Elo levels in human terms.
As usual Dragon 2.6 is free for subscribers, is priced the same as 2.5, and is eligible for a 20% discount if you bought Komodo 14 or any later version.

Does the Komodo Dragon 2.6 engine for Android offer UCI Elo Settings ? Do you also offer a version that works with Iphone ?
Yes, but we call it "UCI Elo" instead of "UCI_Elo" since several chess GUIs have problems with "UCI_Elo". Make sure to check/set to true UCI LimitStrength.

I am visiting the Dominican Republic and decided to pit Sosa Jonathan against Skill Level 19 of Komodo Dragon 2.5.1 and here is the result, I will be visiting Dominican Republic for 5 more days and will have more tests against different Skill Levels. If I have Komodo Dragon 2.6 I can specify specific rating ;like 1965 which is Sosa Jonathan rating or other Dom. Re. Players specific rating

Most GUI use UCI_LimitStrength and UCI_Elo and that's what most engines are using . So please fix the missing underscore in future releases

ChessBase GUIs won't work with the underscores so that's why we removed them. Are there any GUIs that won't work without the underscores?

Some GUIs like Hiarcs Explorer looks for UCI_LimitStrength with underscore and enables in their "Play a game" dialog a slider where you can set the elo without always going into the engine settings directly.

Great job on the human like ratings. I played two test games with Dragon 2.6 using the Human personality set at 2000 rating versus Novag Diablo 68000 v.2 level a7 (MessChess) estimated 2040 rating. Time control 40 moves in 2 hours. While I agree with others here that a time delay should be added instead of instant moving. The games had a balanced flow to them with normal errors for the class of players. I will now turn it up to 2040 and see how that goes.
