Windows 11.

I am close to upgrading. Does it do anything more for computer chess? Any comments on Windows 11? Thanks.

I'd say it does not do anything for chess, except that it handles task scheduling on the new Intel CPUs better, which looking at your signature is of no concern to you.

Engines are about 6% slower with Ryzen processors. Tested on a laptop with Ryzen 5700u. I upgraded from Windows 10 to 11.

I haven't had that on my Ryzen 7 3700U. It definitely felt sluggish in the weeks after the upgrade, but with subsequent updates it is now back to normal.

I also can't confirm this on Ryzen 5900X. Test with latest Bios (Asus ROG Strix 570X) and AMD drivers.

Horrible OS though. In terms of design.

Win 7 was great, 10 was pretty good, 11 is like modern art - you’ll either love it or hate it.

It wont recognize my 3 printers. I dont like the layout. Back to Windows 10.
