I would like to know if you match 2 engines where X engine is at least 20 to 40 elo higher or stronger than y engine, if you limit X or the stronger engine to only play by castling long 0-0-0 with the White side , but the weaker engine can castle either way short or long. In a match of 100 or even 500 games what could the outcome be expected. Lets say for instance Stockfish vs Komodo Dragon 2.6.1 ? Can somebody do an experiment of 50 or 100 games Blitz or Rapid with these two Stockfish vs Komodo Dagon 2.6.1. using whatever Opening they like ?
Note: That is for engine vs engine, but if 2 humans rated around 20 to 40 rating different, if the stronger player is limited to only castle long 0-0-0 with white in a match of 20 games do you believe that the weaker player can compensate by limiting his stronger opponent to only castle long?
For Stronger engines 20 to 40 rating higher than another...........

Re: For Stronger engines 20 to 40 rating higher than another...........
Sorry, I just realized that in order to have this type of match an Opening Book for Stockfish would have to be created, where the White side only use Long castle 0-0-0, unless there is a GUI that allow you to do this, and I do NOT know if somebody can create such an openingChessqueen wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 12:30 am I would like to know if you match 2 engines where X engine is at least 20 to 40 elo higher or stronger than y engine, if you limit X or the stronger engine to only play by castling long 0-0-0 with the White side , but the weaker engine can castle either way short or long. Re: For Stronger engines 20 to 40 rating higher than another...........
I created some openings for Stockfish where White can only castle Long0-0-0 wand played 10 games at Blitz, Stockfish demonstrated to me that even if it is limited to castle long it can still defeat Komodo Dragon 2.6.1

Re: For Stronger engines 20 to 40 rating higher than another...........
Here are the games from 6 thru 10 where I created 10 Openings for Stockfish where it can only castle long 0-0-0 with White, it is clear that if you look at these games stockfish even if it is limited to castling long it still can beat Komodo Dragon very easy.

Chessqueen wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 2:44 amIf you are wondering why I adjudicated the first game as a draw, it is because both engines output was as 0.00 since move 60 or for the last 7 moves, but if you were wondering if I had let it played it out this it what it would had happened, even if you remove both Rook it is still a draw simply a white Bishop for 2 Black pawns =Chessqueen wrote: ↑Thu Apr 14, 2022 12:30 am I would like to know if you match 2 engines where X engine is at least 20 to 40 elo higher or stronger than y engine, if you limit X or the stronger engine to only play by castling long 0-0-0 with the White side , but the weaker engine can castle either way short or long.
