Komodo 14.1 should be lower to $29.99
I believe that due to the small difference between Komodo 12.1.1 FREE version and Komodo 14.1 in rating and due to the fact that version 2.6.1 was released long time ago and a newer version is on the way Komodo 14.1 should be lower to only $29.00 https://komodochess.com/Komodo14.htm

Note: Hopefully before the release of Dragon 3.0 around the fist 2 weeks of May, I expect Komodo 14.1 to be either Free or Lowered down to only $19.99Chessqueen wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 5:49 pm I believe that due to the small difference between Komodo 12.1.1 FREE version and Komodo 14.1 in rating and due to the fact that version 2.6.1 was released long time ago and a newer version is on the way Komodo 14.1 should be lower to only $29.00 https://komodochess.com/Komodo14.htm

At some point NNUE switched on their greedy side and even re-branding the engine to allow pretexts to not make engines free, huh? (Unless the release of Dragon 3 makes Dragon 1 free, then I apologize.)

Could be that cost of food, gas, utilities, and hardware are going up. They have bills to pay also.

Komodo developers have one bad habit - they like to eat every day.

I think it's wonderful that they are willing to give away ANY of their old versions for free. That's hardly an argument for them needing to sell their paid versions for less.

There's no "should"— Mark and Larry have no moral obligation to reduce the price. It's 100% their decision. You can make a recommendation or a requests, but please don't use "should".Chessqueen wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 5:49 pm <snap> should be lower to only $29.00 https://komodochess.com/Komodo14.htm

Oh the irony — someone want something at a reduced price so calls the seller greedy!

I paid for his entry to one year’s Chicago open and made him a gift of a classical guitar. But money and things can’t solve the world’s problems.
Fat Titz by Stockfish, the engine with the bodaciously big net. Remember: size matters. If you want to learn more about this engine just google for "Fat Titz".
