Hi Basti,

what is your idea to do?

At the moment I am looking in a match on one of my PCs:
AnMon 5.21 vs. WB Zarkov 4.5z.
2002 was a very nice time in computerhess, so I am thinking in the morning ... 20 years later ... AnMon vs. Zarkov!

Could you explain "active" engines?

Best

My idea was to list every active engine with elo around 500 - 2500. I mean for "active engines," that the engine is still developing and updating to this point before it reaches the 2800-3000 elo mark. I'm just curious about how many engines are still there.

Graham Banks's Amateur tournaments I believe contain only engines with fairly recent update. So that is a place to start.

CT800 is one that I know of and Joker might be another. (Not sure about Joker)
