Many people agreed perfect chess Elo is between 4500 - 5500. But you have to specify rating with time scaling. As in general rule the rating decrease with higher time control as the lower rated player make less mistake with time. To be specific a 3475 rated engine will make less mistake against Stockfish given more time control than if the game is played at T/C of 5/3.
Yes. But faster time formats are making chess less serious now. It is becoming a game like checkers.
Provided, FIDE comes with another enpasse like rule.

Well what most top chess players are complaining since Bobby Fisher started to talk about it, is that nowadays top Players are simply memorizing openings up to 30 move deep, and according to Bobby Fischer serious match between top players are becoming a test of who has a better photographic memory. That is why he invented Fischer Chess960. A solution to that would be to give players Openings up to 8 moves in envelop just before they start each game, where the players will have to play those opening moves to avoid cooked opening preparation in top competitions like the candidates. That is the reason why Carlsen lately is playing strange opening he just wants to take them out of opening preparation from move one.

Very true. Fischer was a genius. Since 2019, I am also struggling alone.. People only wants to talk about chess in ots blitz format or bullet.. creativity is lost..

I am dissapointed to see a Simulation of War, has become a caculation of moves nowadays.

Chess is taking deep breadth.

Hi.

I was finally able to resume this game (it was interrupted after 39... Qc4, Komodo somehow lost on time, but I did not like winning like that against an engine).
Unfortunately, I spoiled my good position, and the game ended in a draw.
I see now (based on Komodo's evaluation) that 50... Nf4 was my bad move. Of course, I missed the perpetual.
But the truth is that I have no idea, what I should have played to keep the win.

Hi.

I will finish this challenge with BanksiaGUI.

I am trying Arena, Lucas Chess and Winboard... but none of the four seems completely satisfactory for my needs.

Greetings.

Hi.

Now, the first game against Stockfish taking the a1 rook.
A loss for me.
My queen got trapped, and I got a rook for it.
Since I already had a rook handicap, my position was not bad at all... but then I was simply outplayed.
This challenge has been more difficult than expected.

I do NOT want to spoil your fun, but I believe that it is time for you to test another type of Odds, like this one, since for the last 60 days all that we see is Rook Odds

Hi.

That is because I have barely played.
I would like to play more frequently.
But when I "have time", I am often too tired to play.

That is the life of an amateur player: work, family... chess ends up behind a lot of other priorities.
Of course we like chess. And we would like to play more, and always be "fresh" for every game (be it a serious tournament, or just an offhand challenge).
But the simple truth is: most of us have a job; several of us have a family... not much is left for chess.

Greetings.

Hi.

Now, the second game against Komodo taking the a1 rook.
The first win for me in this challenge.

Komodo's opening transposed into the exchange French.
A dream to play for me: a single open line.
I think I made a few imprecise moves, but nothing that would put the win in danger.
