About Korean Chess-Janggi

Post by janggi-korea »

hello? everyone

I come from korea. and my name is Baek.
I worked on the Janggi engine with H.G. before.
However, we stopped working on the engine due to different projects.
Recently, I was able to have some personal time again, and I am working on the Janggi engine in Korea again. And I'm developing it as a mobile app.
I'd like to ask you for some help.

I have about 3 million FEN positions. I want to tune my janggi engine using this. (Texel Tuning)
Can someone help me tune the Texel?
I can tell you the parameters.
For example,
It's very simple, like mobility.

Is there anyone interested in the Janggi engine?
Janggi is a traditional Korean game and is similar to Chinese chess, but it is more dynamic and fun. Unfortunately, not many engines were built because many people did not know about janggi game.

I want to discuss Janggi with you here.
Thank you.

Does the chess engine have an evaluation for combination pieces?
For example,
It means the minimum combination of pieces for the engine to win.
Of course, endgames data exists in chess, but I think that if i expand this idea, i can apply a new evaluation method in middlegames.
For example, I thought that the minimum number of winning combinations(duplicates) was related to the potential winning potential.
It's a bonus of a palace attack that uses that combination with the quantity of potential combinations to win.

And I'm thinking of a way to apply this evaluation method.
But in janggi, there is an advisor in the palace, so it's related to the quantity of advisors.
