Before the incident, Niemann was a known online cheater and suspected to be a cheater OTB. Nothing has changed, except chess.com additionally proved Niemann to be a liar. Carlsen didn't change Niemanns reputation, only Niemann is responsible for his reputation.

I've no desire to argue against what you repeat and repeat...but can you answer this: Why does Magnus continue to play OTB against people who have been caught and admitted to cheating online...yet make an exception for Hans (ironically right after Hans beat him OTB)?

This about the third time you’ve made the same statement.

It is my first comment regarding Niemanns reputation, and directed as a concrete answer to someone else. It's none of your buisnes to instruct me what to post here.

I don't know, maybe they didn't continue cheating after they got caught, maybe they didn't cheat in tournaments, maybe they are able to explain their own moves, maybe there is not a bunch of super gms who are convinced they still cheat.

See above. But feel free to point us to the other posts where I eventually said something similar if you think it is so important and worth the effort.

Finally, something I can agree with you on.

Quite correct, you do not know why after losing one relatively poorly played OTB game to Hans - which broke a streak he was on - Magnus is scapegoating Hans for the sins of online cheaters the world over.

It is an important question which demands a reasonable answer - not from you of course. I am not sure Magnus has one though which would show him in a good light. Time (and lawsuits) will tell.

Another dose of common sense.
It’s amusing that an article published by ChessBase has to throw up its hands at the “mysterious” ChessBase let’s check algorithm.

Yes, but I think they have made it pretty clear elsewhere what it 'is for' and what it 'should not be used for'. At first I think this was an Albert Silver article, but saw that it was someone I am not familiar with.

Who has that much time? I’ve seen some of the highlights. There was a fair amount of behind the scenes gossiping, basically to make it seem as if Nakamura was in the know. But given the sheer amount of shit talking he did, who knows how he might have exposed himself? Law firms have people in the Philippines and India to help them go through large volumes of evidence. If there’s something there, they’ll find it.
The relevant quotes are in points 97 to 101 of Niemann's complaint (just looked it up).
