Only +10 elo in classical chess, but for FRC enthusiasts you can how test Halogen.
Finally! Congrats for the release! I'll put it on queue so it can make in the list!

KhepriChess v3.0.0

https://github.com/kurt1288/KhepriChess ... tag/v3.0.0

Hopefully a good gain in strength: About +115 Elo in self-play. Also now supports Chess960/FRC!

Getting close to the 2000 mark. I was really trying to get there this release (which I don't think I have), but I'll have to keep working at it.

Well, I'll be curious to see how it does. I'm letting it play C960 games on Lichess now and it seems like the performance is extremely poor. It's almost impressive how poorly it plays. I might need to look into refining the evaluation (separate PST?) specifically for C960 games.

Winter v1.0 has been released! https://github.com/rosenthj/Winter/releases/tag/v1.0

Please keep your expectations conservative. I expect it to be close in playing strength to v0.9. Major features compared to the last full release (v0.9, roughly 2 years ago) are Chess960 support and a reworked evaluation function based on Chess960 and DFRC games. Compared to v0.9.5 it should be noticeably stronger at Chess960.

Thank you to Connor for the Windows compiles! While making the compiles, he noticed compiling with Windows UCRT seems to result in some issues. As is, the Windows compiles are fairly untested, so any feedback would be appreciated!

New engine: Captain by Narbeh Mouradian, USA

https://github.com/n4h/Captain-chess

It's strength is around 900 Elos so might be a good sparring partner for beginners.

After playing several hundred games on my Mac, Stash 34 is doing even better than its previous version!

Sincere thanks to the author for his work and making the latest version available to the community.

Feel free to download Stash-34 for all popular platforms :)
