After move 14 the contempt should be set back to normal = 16 since by then it already has castled and prevented trading pieces and from that point on Dragon 3.2 will start attacking as norma;l only at the start or first 14 moves dragon 3.2 should play with contempt = 100 for Knight Odds and = 140 for Rook Odds. It is what I have done when testing it against engines of equal strength of the players playing today

Because there is a wide range of ratings (about 500 elo not even considering Komodo Dragon), handicaps are planned when the players are not closely matched. Details are still being worked out, but I anticipate that Komodo Dragon will give knight odds to the stronger players and rook odds to the weaker ones, perhaps with color also depending on rating. I am not directly involved with organizing the event, but am serving as an adviser/consultant, and I may also participate as a player playing online if we can work out how to do this smoothly.

My results were two draws with Eric Rosen, and draw and a win vs. Anna Cramling, a draw and a loss vs. Naroditsky, and a loss and a draw vs Canty. Unfortunately I was rather ill today, I've been recovering from COVID but somehow it got bad today, especially during my games with Canty. I'm told that Dragon had to withdraw due to technical difficulties, apparently it wasn't Dragon playing but some weaker engine. They were using the Arena gui but apparently no one was very familiar with how to use it. So it's just an 8 human double RR. Does anyone know the results of the other human players, excluding the dragon games which apparently will be annulled?

I had a feeling that the person that was going to operate dragon was not going to be too familiar, since I kept writing does he knows the contempt value to set dragon when playing knight odds and Rook Odds. He had plenty of time to ask you questions at least 2 weeks prior. Why he did not ask you how to set up Dragon under Arena? He should had joined this forum and we could had answered all his questions prior to the event.

NOTE: You should at least arrange to play 6 to 8 games versus the top GM Daniel Naroditsky in the near future within three weeks at Chess18, or ask the organizer to see if they can arrange it. Do you believe that Chess18 will become more popular than chess960, because of the familiarity of the Standard position where the Rooks and King remain in their usual spot making it more familiar to chess players and at the same time not having enough time to cook any openings

There will be an over-the-board chess18 event at Timbermoose Lodge in Utah March 20-22, featuring seven FIDE-titled streamers plus Komodo Dragon. Chess18 is simply the 18 positions of chess960 (or shufflechess) with the kings and rooks on normal squares, so normal castling rules apply, making it true chess, albeit from unusual starting positions. Here is the announcement: https://www.timbermoose.com/chess18. Time limit planned is 15' plus 5" increment.

Because there is a wide range of ratings (about 500 elo not even considering Komodo Dragon), handicaps are planned when the players are not closely matched. Details are still being worked out, but I anticipate that Komodo Dragon will give knight odds to the stronger players and rook odds to the weaker ones, perhaps with color also depending on rating. I am not directly involved with organizing the event, but am serving as an adviser/consultant, and I may also participate as a player playing online if we can work out how to do this smoothly.

My results were two draws with Eric Rosen, and draw and a win vs. Anna Cramling, a draw and a loss vs. Naroditsky, and a loss and a draw vs Canty. Unfortunately I was rather ill today, I've been recovering from COVID but somehow it got bad today, especially during my games with Canty. I'm told that Dragon had to withdraw due to technical difficulties, apparently it wasn't Dragon playing but some weaker engine. They were using the Arena gui but apparently no one was very familiar with how to use it. So it's just an 8 human double RR. Does anyone know the results of the other human players, excluding the dragon games which apparently will be annulled?

I had a feeling that the person that was going to operate dragon was not going to be too familiar, since I kept writing does he knows the contempt value to set dragon when playing knight odds and Rook Odds. He had plenty of time to ask you questions at least 2 weeks prior. Why he did not ask you how to set up Dragon under Arena? He should had joined this forum and we could had answered all his questions prior to the event.

NOTE: You should at least arrange to play 6 to 8 games versus the top GM Daniel Naroditsky in the near future within three weeks at Chess18, or ask the organizer to see if they can arrange it. Do you believe that Chess18 will become more popular than chess960, because of the familiarity of the Standard position where the Rooks and King remain in their usual spot making it more familiar to chess players and at the same time not having enough time to cook any openings

If there is a way that I can see GM Daniel Naroditsky move instantly, I volunteer myself to have Dragon 3.2 play at least three games of 45 Min + 5 sec inc after he win the match. or even 30 mim + 6 sec inc

There is no way that GM Naroditsky can even draw against Dragon 3.2 at 15 Min + 5 Sec inc, I can only see him winning at time control of 30 Min + 5 Sec inc. Here is this Beta engine Cyrano rated around 2660 by its author
