Re: Nice study by Troitsky
Sorry, But I didn't have the full PGN, I had to build it by hand. The strange thing about this study is that it seems to trip up Stockfish, Blue Marlin, and Crystal 5 KWK (getting stuck on 1.Nf4) , however if you disable the NNUE in those engines they seem to get it. The fastest engines I tried out were Komodo 14.1, Berserk 11.1, Arasan 23.4, and Rebel 16.2.
Anyways here's the full PGN:

Re: Nice study by Troitsky
Let Stockfish or Crystal play the white pieces, also give this easy to solve for engines study to Crystal and see what happens, for some strange reason it seems to freeze Crystal's search immediately.Chessqueen wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 1:24 am If you simply let Dragon vs Stockfish play it out they both solve it![]()

Re: Nice study by Troitsky
If you give Crystal 5 KWK the first two plies, it still does not see a win. Strange. But no tablebases used here.
1.Kd8 Bf7

Perhaps your engines will find this one a little more challenging, I worked on it at my job during my lunch.Jouni wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 4:48 pm In first one SF dev sees win in 2 minutes:

Re: Nice study by Troitsky
I let Crystal 5 calculate for an hour (no tablebases) but it does not see anyhing so far, not even a draw. This is Crystal with a NNUE that I borrowed from the Stockfish developers, not committed. But I don't think that would make big differences, don't know.acase wrote: ↑Thu Mar 30, 2023 4:37 amPerhaps your engines will find this one a little more challenging, I worked on it at my job during my lunch.Jouni wrote: ↑Sun Mar 26, 2023 4:48 pm In first one SF dev sees win in 2 minutes:

are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.
