With all the current troubles through the years isn't it wise to move to another forum?

There are more new chess engines being developed now than ever before.
I agree, and I enjoy the chess programmers section in here, no beef going on, sometimes I ponder if there are more chess programmers out there than enthusiasts as users, but honestly, we have Lc0 with MCTS-PUCT+CNN (resp. DAG+Attention) and SF with AB+NNUE, beside those two main streams there is no variation IMO, what does not mean that we can't have fun with it anyways...
The science has been done.
Seems we reached currently a plateau in this regard.

That's funny, on my end only Firefox works with https.
90% of coding is debugging, the other 10% is writing bugs.

Is "developed" the right word to use here?

I have it bookmarked as https, but it always redirects to forum3/index.php

Would anyone like to buy the domain name talkchess.com? And how much would you be willing to pay for it?

Well, .com usually is around 15 euro so I'm willing to pay 15 euro for it.
I have a VPS where it can run on.

I think Ed started this pollthread more or less as a response to my question in Ed's forum
PostSubject: Re: Talkchess "Off The Air?" Talkchess "Off The Air?" - Page 2 EmptySat May 13, 2023 11:57 pm
Many seem just a bit frustrated with the neverending captchas in Talkchess, I fear people will stay away if it continues, although some seem to have no trouble, but they are apparently not missing diagrams at all using https? Can't we fire some emails in the direction of Quentin again Ed, Chris? It is out of the Christmas season so perhaps he has some time now to look if this is really necessary?
According to Chris Whittington in that thread in the ProDeo forum we do not currently know who owns this domain name but somebody once bought it, he thinks one of the Hull brothers, Sam or Matthew. So Quentin at least did not own it until recently, and it could be Sam I suppose who at least until recently again, was the TCAdmin.
I do not quite follow that Talkchess is "following orders" from the owner but the important part of the reasoning of the founding fathers present there in Ed's forum would be that the rights should reside with the computer chess community.

That would at least ensure that the rights do not get sold to the highest bidder and may dissappear overnight with or without everything we wrote if the database comes with it. That would be my comment to this bid (from Harm-Geert)?
Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first
place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you
are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.
