Father Grand-Father or Catecan versus Srockfish man versus Machine
I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.

(it uses zero time after around 40 moves - just check the time graph)
Mentioned surely several times already in talkchess.
Ofc the 'father' guy as usual does not mention this in the header, oh wait he also does not mention SF,
but 'Srockfish' instead of 'SF level 8 at 30+0 in Lichess'. Another crook back from 'nirvana' for the ignore list.

If you do not look at the game you even do not know the result of the game.
If you look at the game then it is easy to see that the opponent is stockfish level 8 so not best stockfish.
I also think that it is interesting that stockfish can play so weak and having no time is no good excuse.
I think that most engines even at depth 1 are going to capture the queen instead of the stupid 63...Rb5 and usually they search captures first so even 1 node should be enough to find capturing the queen.

Good afternoon Mr. "Chess player" and Mr. Uri Blass. Solidarity hug for Spain and Israel. Winds of fear for AI sweep through the world's networks. AI is just an icy semblance of reasoning, a database with no awareness of itself because it doesn't exist itself. Bengal tigers are married to fique nets, lions are defeated by mosquitoes, and Artificial Intelligence with its cybernetic megalomania peopia. Close to my 63 years of age, the good God, the only and common God of all my humanity has wanted to give me even the rational mind that teaches: The horizon effect is right from there where, time, space, and strategy, defeat in one decimal the limits of the electronic calculator. The wind of the life-giving Spirit makes obsolete the theory of faith, the evolution that in the end proves nothing to us. I promise that I will be the most apologetic of atheists from that moment on when theUri Blass wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 10:19 pmI see no problem with Father's post.Guenther wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 8:21 pmOld boring pattern of SF weak levels to reward weak Humans who survive more than 40 moves at Lichess...Ajedrecista wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 7:10 pm Hello:

Re: Father Grand-Father or Catecan versus Stockfish (Man versus Machine).
I think that level 8 is set to take too much time to play one minute bullet with no increment, and once its time drops below some tiny amount it probably just plays the first move on its list or something equally silly. You either have to give it one second increment, raise the time to 2 minutes, or perhaps set it at a lower level like 6 for it to move fast enough to avoid this nonsense. They should not let any level play games at a time limit that is too fast for that level to play at, or make the levels speed up if necessary.Father wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 11:57 pmAjedrecista wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 7:10 pm Hello:

Re: Father Grand-Father or Catecan versus Stockfish (Man versus Machine).
Thank you GM Larry Kaufman for your comments and for paying attention, with your important time and knowledge of chess and computers, to my game played in a time control of only 30 seconds for the entire game. I want to tell you that the experience wanted to teach me empirically about the strength limits of chess programs. Those programs can only load with a specific weight and beyond that they can collapse... the weight of time or clock, the weight of the length of the game, even the color information on the screen, among others.lkaufman wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2023 1:22 amI think that level 8 is set to take too much time to play one minute bullet with no increment, and once its time drops below some tiny amount it probably just plays the first move on its list or something equally silly.

Chess programs "are limited frozen entities" and it is up to us humans to find the temperature at which they melt. But equally, we human beings are creations with infinite limitations in terms of longevity, health, stature, motor skills and a thousand other things.
It was not easy for me to win a game in control of 30 seconds without an increase, but I finally did it.
Today I wonder if I'll be able to beat stockfish in 15 second time control for the whole game. I feel that my mind has the speed to achieve it,
Mr. Larry, I have learned that between the exact moment in which my brain gives a specific order and its execution, an eternity passes, and when I say eternity, I mean, enough time to repent of the order given and the irrevocable execution of that by my physical body.
That is to say, our spirit is much faster than our eyes, than our senses and than the extremities. The limit, or, a limit in our current plane, is our own physical matter.
All of this reminds me of that teaching of the Holy Curé of Ars, when he told a Mother anguished by the fate of her son who committed suicide, to be calm, because God's mercy had been found between the bridge of the Seine river and the seine river, what leads me to measure whether it was not that there was a final NO beyond the limits of the physical sphere.
Thanks again for your time, and I wish you the best and greatest success in your chess program goals and objectives.
I am thinking chess is in a coin.Human beings for ever playing in one face. Now I am playing in the other face:"Antichess". Computers are as a fortres where owner forgot to close a little door behind. You must enter across this door.Forget the front.

Larry. I did it. I played leve 8 in lichess control time 2+2 and the machine colapsed and resigned by itself.lkaufman wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2023 1:22 amI think that level 8 is set to take too much time to play one minute bullet with no increment, and once its time drops below some tiny amount it probably just plays the first move on its list or something equally silly.
