SF11 manages to keep a probably not quite wrong line in hash and output after Backward of interactive trying together with HekaStockfish and SlowChess :)
DTM yet gets lost again and again at further Backward than to position after first 2 moves:

1. Ke2 Kc2 2. Bg2 Kc1

8/1p1p2p1/5p1p/5P1P/1p1p1P2/pP1P1P2/P3K1B1/2k5 w - - 0 1

Analysis by Stockfish 11 64 POPCNT:

Stopped for now having to leave, probably after longer waiting the 32G hash with 30 threads of 16x3.5GH yet will be enough to get a full DTM- line from very starting position too, regards
Peter.

Automatic parameters, solution found in 44.26 sec., "Fluchtfelder 4".
Giving the already known param of 4 fields only for the Black King at new start, time to solution is even shorter for the half of it, about 20" only then

This is a similar problem to two by Karl Faber: YACPDB #191186 (also PDB P1299270) and YACPDB #191941. The first one has been posted several times at TalkChess.

I have tried this problem with Chest 5.2 without success. There must have been good parameters that solve the problem in a blink, though I have not found them. Congratulations to Peter and his analysis with Gustav.

Thanks for finding that, I had the first one stored on my disk already even, but didn't realize at first sight, shame on me.
With the Fabel's #82 Gustav is about as fast as with the changed position, regards
Peter.

Very impressive for a computer to find that! 8-)

Well, yes, but just to be sure, you noticed the first two postings of mine gave output after Forward- Backward of interactively built lines, didn't you?
Really impressive I find Gustav's performance to solve that in 20 sec. with parameter Fluchtfelder 4 (not quite the same as KingSquares in Chest but about that) and even better to me the 40 sec. with automatic parameters.
BTW I had seen Gustav's superiority in the original study from Karl Fabel, when I stored it on disk quite a while ago but didn't remember at once:
Orginal study from Jesus' first YACPD- link:

Hello Jesus, I KNEW you would recognize it, I extended the moves by 10 moves because it was easy to do. If you let Chest look at the position AFTER Black's 10th move in "AutoTurbo" mode it will solve it instantly, but you are absolutely correct that it was based on Fabel's problem (the first one you posted, I was unaware of the second one) which is in the Chest database as a mate in 71.

Here is the similar position in Chest's database:
