Absolutely, I even think we should find a way to permanently back up Norbert and Jim's online engine archives, and Gunther's (maybe even the old sdchess.ru stuff also) too.

I'll even throw all of my (non-commercial) collection on there.

One shared repository for ancient stuff would be awesome.

Would be glad to contribute for the hosting etc if you guys wanna crowdfund such a project?!

If not, maybe I'll just do it myself when I have time. :lol:
I wouldn't be able to crowdfund, but I myself have a solid collection (530+) of engines from varying eras, and a few private engines that I could theoretically release (depending on how the original creators respond) to supplement the overall archive.
