I am happy to announce that Pedantic 0.5.0 is now available. Pedantic 0.5.0 is a UCI engine that I have tested in both Arena and CuteChess. This release is estimated to be stronger than v0.4.1 by about 162 Elo and playing strength is estimated to be about 2944 at 40/15 and 3007 at blitz. I am looking forward to seeing how close my estimate is to the one CCRL eventually calculates.

Just a 'go' will not work with a lot of programs.
Usually you have to send at least 'uci', 'isready' and a 'position' command let's assume you wanted to try the start position, then 'position startpos'.
BTW this thread is only for new engine releases and news and not for user problems and bugs. (yours are always user problems though)

There is no exe included in the package. I have asked the author to provide one. Until then, if you are interested, I have put an exe, compiled by me, at this place: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1O0WCWB ... share_link
Note that it is a compile for Haswell/BMI2 machines.

True. It is there, only I could not find it. Well hidden.
Anyway, there is an issue about the engine which, in my opinion, shall be resolved (see its github page).
BTW, sources at 'Assets' are for version 1.1 while the exe you marked with red is version 1.2.

Yes, the release section isn't updated yet. BTW I also noticed the 'time 0' already for the first release and it will soon be fixed
I guess, but it has no influence on testing though (GUIs measure the times always themselves and don't rely on that output and
IIRC there are a few engines w/o displaying time at all)

AGAIN stupid Microsoft Defender with a Wacatac false alarm. It's getting really annoying.
