Anyway I recommend not to use the limited strength version for analysis as the evaluations and pv are very strange as they use random values in the evaluation and the engine is almost all the time asleep to weaken it.

Indeed, when you use version 9.0 everything goes well, I think the sse2 version is also the correct version for your processor.

When you use version 9.1 I have some doubts:

- When you have shown the limited version in strength, the engine seems to start correctly, shows its options and sends uciok, but after receiving the custom options and the isready command it does not respond and it does not send the readyok command, in that case Arena I think which should not send any more commands.

- When you show the version with full power, things are worse there, the engine does not even start, so it is useless to send it for analysis.

The engine is waiting to receive the xboard or uci command from the GUI to know which protocol it has to work on. If the window closes that means there is a problem with the executable and your processor. Just in case you should check that the engine is not dead in the task list. What is more strange is that the engine continues after this, It sent the default configuration options, the uciok command and after receiving the custom options and the isready command it does not respond.

You could use the danasah91_win32_basic.exe version, to check if that version, which is the simplest and least demanding, works well on your computer, it is half the speed but it would help to know if it is a compilation problem or if it is a protocol problem.

I don't think I have changed things in the protocol in the latest version, it's hard for me to remember because this was done about 2 years ago. What I have done is change the compiler, I don't know if this is what can make the previous version work on your computer and this new one not.

Right now it is difficult for me to create a new executable with the previous compiler.

In case this executable does not work on your computer either, you could do one thing, use the version 9.0 that works for you and in the configuration change the NNUE file to use, replace dananet2.nnue with dananet3.nnue. If you use NNUE you would have practically the same engine, only an error in the evaluation has been corrected in this new version when NNUE is not used.
