Black Wins = 320 ( 7.8% )

One of the four lost games are OK ... this was a lost vs. Stockfish, all OK with the game!
Another lost game in clear draw position is a bit unclear.
But the other two lost games looks like a bug.

Have a look in move 79

With 1 1/2 points more Berserk on 1 after 200 games in my tourney ...
Not sure, but it looks like a bug.

Ah, not a bug that Berserk is one rank 1 if the three games ends with draw :-)
That is nice to see ...

Hint:
"Book" comes from Shredder GUI, often to see if the moves comes directly.
That is indeed very bad, reported to Stefan for some years.
Not important ...

What is Berserk do here in clearly draw positions!
Why such moves without thinking?
Looks like a bug for me.

Interesting is move 79!
40 moves in 20 minutes is the time control ... one move before ... maybe random?

Given that these moves are right before the time control, and also the moves before were already played very quickly, this may point to a problem with the engine's time management. Means, using up too much time earlier and then being forced to play instantanously. This hits in particularly hard because you use a tournament mode with no per-move increments. CCRL uses increments, so time management without increments may not have been tested that well.

Hi Ras,

yes, I saw that the moment you added your comments.

I have never seen anything like this in the last few years with the time control, 40 moves in x minutes (if I am watching the games). To be honest, I haven't paid any attention to it in the last few years either. I think I need to check the database, maybe other engines have problems with the time control I use.

A long evening I think, need a coffee.

I have stopped to play X/Y games totally. Because many new engines can't handle it! All testing is done with increment today. Trying to increase move overhead don't help much.

SSDF is using X/Y time control and engines should know to handle this time control.

There should be maximal time variable based on the data of remaining time and number of moves so the engine never use more than the maximal time.

Nice find Frank

Berserk vs Minic : 50.Kg4 is clearly a bad move.

Berserk still rates 53.Rb2 with 0.00 in depth 39

Seems kinda buggy

53.Rb2 0.00/39 15

Kg4 is just a blunder. Locally, Berserk still doesn't understand it, maybe some NMP blindness or something. Will look into that one.

Both of the OCB bishop endgames are because Berserk either saved 0 seconds or was given no time for it's last move. An indication of instant moves being played can be seen in the (book) comment. I spend no time looking at X/Y time controls and won't spend any time moving forward. I cannot test and manage Berserk on multiple time controls, and really think everyone should move to X+Y time controls. These aren't humans playing after all.

Others can and do and X/Y is a popular time control. My solution using X/Y time control is to always keep one second spare time, I do that since 1980 and never gave any problem.

My simple solution in old Movei was never to use more than half of the remaining time for a single move.

Of course usually the target time is clearly less than half of the remaining time.
It may be not optimal mainly at move 40 or at time trouble in X+Y time control but I doubt if it is losing more than 1 elo relative to the optimal solution.
