your somu tool helps a bit to check the database of FCP-Tourney-2024. Also, I have been looking for hours in a lot of 1:0, 0:1 games after about 35, 75, 115 moves. I should not do that, I am very disappointed and desperate if I look more in detail. That's not my plan! More after work to beam the Eng Eng games on to my big TV to look at chess. When I do that I look more at the board than at the clock.
You know that we used time controls like 3+2 in winboard times for the buggy Fritz GUI (often with the buggy winboard adapter) for eng-eng games. The only reason for that at the time. One of the main reasons to start with arena is to have a GUI that can use winboard and uci with much better support for eng-eng freaks. We produced 3.5 million downloads in one year, on download sites often more downloads as the virus program from avira (like the polish computer bild).
Also all the long games for nothing ... for mate in only 1 move different engines like to think minutes. I should not looking again and again in the bad things around computer chess. I'm not a fan of endgames, and it seems that many programmers don't like them either.
What Uri wrote to Movai is very cool.

What the programmers do in programming in that times are sensational, you know that all ... you are one of them.
I do not have much time for my still-running tournament this week. Will think a bit about new conditions before I change anything. An easy solution is to kill all the engines with problems I found out from my still running-tournament. Possible that I have to play chess end of the day, because no engines are inside. And that will be the much bigger disaster, my own games are full of mistakes. I have optimised my books for Shredder GUI. I should never do that ... a big fault by myself. I don't feel like working on a book for another GUI right now, and my test set isn't ready yet. For the time I have for chess not possible to work on it (need to many time for my main job, I am not in pension). I am young and need the money for Pizza and such things you know ... no, no.
To use 3+x is for me a bit to the way to the beginning of engine-protocols.
Best
