Bought it. The opening repertoire stuff is a big step in the right direction. It's still behind CPT but equal or better to COW IMO.

Re: Fritz 19
Curious, regarding your Zyzygy issue, are you using multi-variation mode?

CPT is discontinued since 2016

I have emailed the author several times without response. But it is such a beautiful program.

Re: Fritz 19
I wrote to SR 3 or so years ago and got a response - mainly to get off the 'subscription model' because I had reservations about the whole approach. I also was hoping he could help with a 'feature' he had been teasing about....and he said it was 'too big' but if I could wait, it would be on the next version. Which...as you know, never happened.Werewolf wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 8:57 amCPT is discontinued since 2016![]()

Like I said, the 345men Syzygy are not found by the GUI! It looks like this. GUI uses Syzygy is activated and is loaded when the program starts:CornfedForever wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 6:10 amCurious, regarding your Zyzygy issue, are you using multi-variation mode?
Diagram 1:

With 6men:

With 345men:

Only the engine calculates. But the Syzygy are not defective and under Fritz 18 everything looks correct as here with 6men. Its a BUG in Fritz 19!!

I checked the positions posted with Fritz 19 Update 4. Everything correct now! GUI finds now all 3456men, and the solutions are correct.

Re: Fritz 19
Yes.
Two more BUGs are still there:
1. I always run ENG matches with Ponder ON. In the engine window only one move of the variant is displayed if the engine has a ponder hit. That looks stupid. Is this a feature or a BUG?
2. The evaluation profile cannot be closed in the ENG Match!

Re: Fritz 19
Fritz 19 Bug: It almost always "forgets" i.e. blanks out / loses the information for the White player, when saving a game that I play against an engine. Everything else is there... Black's info; date, tournament etc etc. Fritz 18, 17, 16 didn't have this problem.
