Hi, I got it working with Lichess after I saw the video you posted. It did not work before because I was closing the DGT Live Chess Program after confirming the board was connected. This program can't be closed, but one can minimize it.
Next I'll try again to do the same in chess.com.
DGT board seems to connect easily with CB's Playchess . Did not try it with FICS ? Which GUI would you recommend ? Babaschess ?

The problem with chess.com wasn't to get it connect, but if I remember correctly, it's been a year since I tried. The problem was that it wasn't stable,
and sometimes made the wrong moves, or no moves at all. Just try it, it could have been progress last year. I used the method described by Hyper-Dragon on chess.com ( https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/ ... abbit-mode )
I have never played on fics. I play sometimes on ICC, but their interface has native support (via dgtebdll).
If you have an android phone or tablet, you can try Chess for android. It support both ICC and fics. You probably need a little adapter to connect to your dgt board, but this is cheap and you get it in most electronic shops.

Hi,
The DGT board seems great. Just one question, how do you play when you are black ?
Do you turn the board , or change seat ? Or can you put the black pieces at the bottom ?
Thanks )
Philippe

It depends. If I know in front, I will set up the pieces with the black nearest me and let the board be as it is. If the opponent/color is decided on the fly, I could do either. If my desk have space for it I turn the board, else I set up the pieces again with the right color. There isn't space on the other side of my desk so I can't sit there.
Since DGT e-board have piece recognition the software understands which way White and Black are playing. This is true even if the board have coordinates, mine don't have one.
In fact, I normally play all my white games with the board in wrong direction, this is to have the cords away from me to not disconnect it by accident.
The chessnut mention above also has piece recognition, while dgt pegasus don't have it.

Hi,
Thanks for the explanation.
I have almost the same configuration. So its ok to put the pieces where I need. Just don't look at the coordinates !!
And turn the board could be dangerous as I could disconnect it by accident.
Well, its near chrismas! It seems a great gift
