Now Shash and Brainlearn show no more depth info under Aquarium :-( ALL other engines show these infos!

Is your Test suite results meaning, that best setting is High Tal and 2 MCTS threads?

MCTS results:
match
https://github.com/amchess/ShashChess/wiki/Matches
suite
https://github.com/amchess/ShashChess/w ... te-results

Note Well
Now, the UCI_ShowWDL option is true by default.
So, in convekta products, to see the analysis output one has to uncheck it, because they don't support the win Probability concept.

https://github.com/amchess/BrainLearn/releases/tag/28
Brainlearn 28
Aligned to Stockfish 16.1
Improved Opening Variety based on Ibai Burgos idea in Hypnos

https://github.com/amchess/ShashChess/releases/tag/35
ShashChess 35
Aligned with Stockfish 16.1
Improved opening variety
Improved Shashin theory
Eliminated classical eval and handicap mode:
there is another engine called Alexander for this.
Unfortunately, the Stockfish community has decided to shelve the classic evaluation function, despite the fact that the engine is far beyond any human being.
In addition, the classical evaluation function is the only one well understood by a human player.
In fact, even an IM/GM struggles to understand the neural network game.
Conversely, even for a GM, it makes no difference to have a 3100- or 3500-point elo engine....
We believe that the future is precisely trying to decrypt them to rewrite classic strategy books in a modern way. The first step, in our opinion, is precisely to try to compare the two evaluation functions.
In addition, the classic rating function allows implementing a true handicap mode and the concept of avatars to simulate not only the playing strength, but also the style of a player.

Alexander 1.0
ShashChess without nnue.

In addition, the classical evaluation function allows the implementation of a true handicap mode, based on a real thinking system and the concept of avatars to simulate not only the playing strength, but also the style of a player.
Alexander should be the only reference engine for an OTB player below the IM title.
An IM or GM can occasionally consult ShashChess to try to penetrate the secrets of NNUE.
This is also why we decided to separate the two worlds.

Hi amchess,

while I do like the idea of your project, the release-notes sound like gibberish.

Happy Easter!

Yes, I think the same.
And this time he missed to state how much better ShashChess performs than Stockfish :D

Happy Easter.
