Help finding engine!!!

Post by Christopher Martin »

Hi. I consider myself a busy man. In the morning, I feed the ducks, prepare the cheeses and make wooden figurines. In the afternoon, I do various exercises to keep fit. I have time for everything. Or rather, I have a little time for everything. Women take up a very large part of my day. So when I analyze chess games, I want to access the best analysis in the world without having to wonder if the program used is the strongest. To make the question simple, I'll start by narrowing down the time format in which I usually play my games. Well, I am a seasoned correspondence, standard, rapid, blitz and bullet player. What I want is the best program for each time format, because my plan is to enjoy the 64 squares in high resolution, with the most perfect silicon assistant to date. Please, I ask for seriousness. Thank you very much. A big kiss and see you soon

Stockfish is the best engine avaliable for the vast majority of users, it is recommended to install the lastest development version as it is the strongest. If you own a powerful GPU and want to get a second opinion, then Leela Chess Zero can also be a useful tool.

It is, however, NOT recommended to use almost any of the Stockfish clones. Those clone advertise themselves as "better at correspondence" and "optimized for analysis", but those claims are either entirely speculative or based on results with heavily flawed statstics.

My experience with (Fairy) Stockfish was that it was very unsuitable for interactive analysis, though. At the time I thought this was because the only development criterium was Elo in hyper-bullet games, and the developers did not give a hoot about whether it sucked for analysis.

Is that true, sir? I have been told that MULTIPLE elite STOCKFISHES are optimized for bullet, hyper bullet, ultra bullet and giga bullet. I need confirmation. My son uses stockfishes to visualize chess battles, but I need confirmation that these robots are patient, in the sense that they know how to wait, take their time and draw a measured conclusion after a high number of steps. Thank you for your contribution and joviality
