Ed was suggesting a Stockfish derivative Ranking List ...DONE! :)

Here is my January 13 Blitz 5+0 Gauntlet - All engines was running on the same hardware: 2014 Core i5 4 Cores 2 MN/s

After 6000 games against most of the engines running on Playchess
using this time the same hardware, I'm proud about ProteusSFX-AI!

ALL THE 6000 games in PGN

1000 games against all best ORIGINAL engines, without losing a single game!

Correction, I argued for an independent derivative rating list that has the potential to stop these online wars between derivatives authors. You are not independent.

True, there should be a SUPER PARTES entity to do that, but no rating list is interested to us, even to HypnoS by MZ that has a lot of interesting new features, Crystal by Joseph Ellis optimized on problem solving, Corchess optimised for long time analysis by Ivan Ivec, BrainLearn with learning and Shashchess applying some original patterns by Alexander Shashin made by math Prof. Andrea Manzo. So we are only ghosts looking for our own castle ... and outside is full of ghostbusters

For me they all deserve my attention so I'm constantly studying their sources.

Very first mods (speed up) +3 /64 Bullet 1+0 Proteus-ET 14.41 vs Ethereal 14.42 github

ALL 64 PGN GAMES Please check the results. Note: Without a book, they plays always the same games...

Proteus-ET 14.31 vs Ethereal 14.32 github +8 / 100

Image

ALL 100 GAMES IN PGN

NOTES: The error margin +-24 ELO is still high, I cannot play 15000 games like SPCC with my 2014 Core i5 4 cores, but I will continue at least until the EL0 delta will be bigger than the error margin. It seems that for the old classical evaluation my mods are more effectives compared to NNUE only engines

Ethereal 14.32 vs Proteus-ET 14.31 0-1

I was not using a book for testling only the engines performances. Now I'll use TCEC 2023 FINAL 50 positions, switching sides following your suggestion.

It was more about playing without increment. Nobody except stupid people playing on stupid servers care about this TC.
All of the decisive games you posted end in depth-4-blunders in serious time trouble. This has nothing to do with strength of engines.

I do not think that people who are interested in strength of engines without an increment are stupid.
Time management is of course important in these conditions.

Personally I do not care about the performance of engines in these conditions but I think that it is wrong to call people stupid because they have a different opinion.
