Insane Queen-Sac in ccc22 Bullet-Semis

Post by pohl4711 »

My Interesting Wins Search Tool filtered the 1200 games of the just finished Bullet Semifinals on chesscom (ccc22). This game was on the first rank of the found games, my tool finds insteresting. And, what can I say, the tool is right. This game is insane. The madness starts with 18.Ng5!! and the following 12 moves are just - no words to describe...after 30 moves, it is just a winning endgame.
See yourself:

(as usual in ccc, my UHO-openings are used: 8 moves (16 plies), and white always is slightly better. And mention, the chesscom-machine is brutally fast (15x faster than an normal 8core machine), so 1min+1sec thinking-time still leads to high-level chess.)

For filtering these 1200 games, my IWS-tool just needed some seconds, by the way: It is brutally fast and can search much bigger databases very quickly.

Easy find for many engines I think, yet very spectacular.
90% of coding is debugging, the other 10% is writing bugs.

Yes, but the question is, how long need engines to not play 17...Qb6? (or something comparable), which leads to the following disaster for black... without MultiPV and backwards-analysis and so on...

Here the game up to move 29 with full comments (eval, depth etc.).
Move 17 of black up to move 20 of black are highlighted, because KomodoDragon understands nothing until move 20.
Mention, that KomodoDragon gets 150-200 million nps on the chesscom-hardware, so besides the bullet-speed, the engines can think very deep.

Wow!

Thank you for finding and sharing that. One doesn't expect a high level chess game to play like a Jackie Chan movie!

As I mentioned, my Interesting Wins Search Tool finds games like this, not me. In this particular case, the IWS-Tool filtered 20 games (out of the 1200 played games) with at least a 2 pawn-unit sac (and writes it in the very_interesting_wins.pgn file). And the tool sorts the found games: Higher sacs above lower sacs and shorter games above longer games. So, this insane game was on the first rank of these 20 games pgn file...

Just download my IWS-Tool und try it out by yourself:
https://www.sp-cc.de/files/interesting_ ... ch_tool.7z

(my Sacrifice Games Search Tool and my EAS-Tool are using the same algorithm to find sac-games quickly and without any engine-evals, so these tools will find these games, too.) But the IWS-Tool is the fastest of these 3 tools, because it does not do any statistics, it just finds cool games. It can filter enginegame-databases with 100.000 or millions of games in some minutes. On a normal PC. The 1200 games gamebase of the Bullet-Semifinals just need some seconds...

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first

are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.
