What is the reason for no longer updating the Windows Versions ?
Majority of the users are not using Linux...

No, this Russian man says that abrok does not depend on Stockfish, so questioning Stockfish for a platform that is not under its control is illogical.

ask to abrok? We are not in any official connection to this site? You can always dowload sf prereleases from github btw, this are official ones.

Use the latest one which https://github.com/official-stockfish/S ... 0-a77a895c has all the binaries you would want.

90% of coding is debugging, the other 10% is writing bugs.

Abrok is nice, because You can download all possible versions! And for bonus they are faster than official compiles for my CPU. About 0.5 % actually .

For those who would like a recent windows compile and who also have an AMD ryzen/threadripper CPU, here is a build from the current source code:
the binary is in the src folder.

Taking ideas is not a vice, it is a virtue. We have another word for this. It is called learning.
But sharing ideas is an even greater virtue. We have another word for this. It is called teaching.

Re: Are SF Team No Longer Updating Windows Compiles Of Their Engine ?
Some end user questions. I have been sometimes doing 'git pull origin master' and compiling with 'make -j profile-build ARCH=x86-64-avx2' on linux. Should I instead download the pre-release? In general is the pre-release more stable than what I obtain by 'git pull'? Also, is the locally compiled binary better than the one in pre-release?Viz wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 8:23 pm ask to abrok?
