I wonder how to start your engine with a comment line parameter after the executable name, I could not optimize the number of threads because of that.
90% of coding is debugging, the other 10% is writing bugs.

A good question, probably you have to add quotes, but I'm not sure, the only one who knows is probably HGM, the maintainer of Winboard.

The PolyGlot file can contain the threads, and all the usual UCI parameters, assuming you are running as UCI.

e.g.

[PolyGlot]
EngineCommand=stockfish_20073110_x64_bmi2.exe
EngineDir=C:\WinBoard\Stockfish_HCE
[Engine]
Threads=4
Hash=4096
Move Overhead=600
SyzygyPath=C:\Syzygy5
Ponder=True

The tourney finished without problems, only Tornado had some issues with pondering.

Belfish, LczTinker and Rebel ended on top with 7 points, Arasan is runner up with 6.5 points, Nightmare third with 6 points.

Skipper managed to win from Sargon, this is not bad because Sargon was one of the best programs in the late seventies, and now it is running on a 1000 times faster CPU.

Because I was mainly busy with other games like Draughts and Othello Nightmare hasn't been changed since 2019, it's still doing reasonably well but I have the feeling that there are many things that could be improved.
