Re: WCSC started
How many tournaments there are? Normal 3 different? This ruined whole Wch tradition totally . One tournament is enough!

World Championship (main one)
Speed Chess Championship (was always there I think?)
Software (really, CPU ) World Chess Championship, this just finished
Rofchade and Fritz did a playoff, and Rofchade scored 1.5-0.5 so it is the Software World Champion. Raptor is 3rd on tiebreaks.

Hello Gian-Carlo:
1. d4 d5 2. Bf4 Nf6 3. e3 e6 4. c3 Bd6 5. Nf3 O-O 6. Nbd2 c5 7. Bd3 Qc7 8. Bxd6 Qxd6 9. Ne5 Qb6
Rofchade played 10. Rb1 in the first playoff game and Fritz played 10. Qb1 in the second playoff game.
Do you know if that opening was agreed? Up to what move? Thanks in advance.
Regard from Spain.

Thank you for the info. I see that the playoff games started with the same opening:Gian-Carlo Pascutto wrote: ↑Sun Oct 20, 2024 6:05 pm[...]

Re: WCSC started
Opening was a blind draw from a pre-selected set with similar white advantage. I believe Qc7 was the last book move.

Re: WCSC started
The WCSC was a Desaster for my engine Tornado, because the hardware has present 16 cores, but I got only 4 performance cores to get work fast, other threads was very slow and drops the search a lot down. I did not can solved the issue, other engines like Gridchess used 6 cores and even others used all 16 cores with overhead the hardware.
